Skye has been really doing well by staying home alone in the evenings with the door to the backyard closed. So well, that yesterday we added some difficulty to see how she would react if something would happen while we were away.
We went away for 1h15... That is to say, we settled in the car in the driveway and watched a movie while monitoring her via the webcams. :)

After 45 minutes, Peter walked to the entry door and dropped a package. She barely reacted. So he knocked at the door and that triggered some barking. She was up and checked things out for about 5 minutes and then went back to her bed.
It was pretty much the best we could have expected! We now feel more relaxed (or at least less worried) about leaving her alone for a few hours for a dinner in the city in 10 days.
