Skye is healing well and is doing a great job at not touching her scar.
She is actually feeling so much better that she is starting to do zoomies and wants to play! We've shrunk her access to the yard so can't run and reopen her belly, and are redirecting her to fun enrichment activities (we love getting new ideas from DOGLi). One of her favorites is the cannelloni and we stuff several in a box to up the challenge. We've also resumed some easy training in which with slowly integrate the wire crate:
In the evening, when putting the chickens to bed, I put some treats in the wire crate like we did before and she surprised us by going all the way in! She didn't lay down (I shouldn't have asked because it's way too soon) but I don't think it's because she was afraid but because we changed the mat (the other one was too soiled to wash). Look at her...
Skye amazes us with her resiliency! If everything continues to heal as it currently is, I think she will back to normal in a week or so.
