Skye is amazing!
Look at her watching calmly the window cleaner working on the back of the house:
It's been more than 5 years that we hadn't have our windows professionally cleaned! 5 years is the time since we have Skye... But she made a tremendous amount of progress since then. She now really trusts us and finds comfort in our presence. We can keep her relaxed and focused in many stressful situations. And she learned that the fences we put up in the yard are to protect her.
So yesterday, we put up a fence around the house so the window cleaners could access all the windows from outside without being in Skye's space. When they arrived, we played the focus-on-me-and-get-lots-of-yummy-treats game. She barked a bit, but never got so aroused that I lost her focus (the power of very yummy treats LOL!). After a while, she decided she had enough treats and laid down in a strategic place to calmly observe the cleaner.
Skye is amazing!
And our windows are really clean! :)
